Note:
Disinfected water from the chlorine contact chamber is polished (pumped)
through a special continuous back-washing filter system to remove all
traces of fine particles to enhance effective U.V. sterilization as well
as lower effluent BOD. The back-wash drain containing solids is re-treated
through the biological reactors.
